Bowling Club donation to Special Olympics Team
At the recent AGM there was a very pleasant task performed by way of presenting a cheque for £250 to the funds of The Scottish Borders Special Olympic Team. The money is part proceeds of a Grand Prize Draw organised by the bowling club, and will go towards sending a mixed teams of athletes to the National Championships in Leicester later in the year. On hand to receive the cheque from President Denis Lockett and Past President Pam Gordon, was Craig Sherrat from Hawick, see photo below. Craig is a member of the Special Olympics Team and participates in a few sports including Football and Badminton. During the meeting Craig proudly showed off Gold and Silver medals won by him in the Badminton World Championships in Shanghai in 2008
